Q Chip, a privately held company incorporated in October 2003, has developed a proprietary, patented micro-fluidic technology ( MicroPlant™ ) that enables high value pharmaceutical and life science products to be packaged in uniform polymer microspheres from 0.08mm-2mm in diameter (0.08mm is approximately the width of a human hair). Analogous to Tetra Pak, but at a much smaller scale, Q Chip designs and develops the packaging to optimise product functionality. This has enabled Q Chip to develop its ReaX™ product range for simpler and cheaper DNA analysis and apply its Microplant platform to the development of advanced drug delivery products.
